Cookie Policy
Short version: The Init app uses no cookies, tracking pixels, or advertising technologies. This website uses browser localStorage to remember your theme preference, and — only if you accept the consent banner — Google Analytics cookies to measure how the site is used. No advertising trackers, ever.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, or to track behaviour for analytics and advertising purposes.
2. The Init App — No Cookies
The Init mobile application (Android and iOS) does not use cookies of any kind. The App does not contain:
- Advertising or tracking SDKs
- Third-party analytics libraries (e.g., Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel)
- Marketing pixels or beacons
- Cross-app tracking technologies
Authentication in the App is handled via JWT tokens stored in secure device storage (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain) — not cookies.
Init Lounge loads map tiles and place data from a content delivery network and geocoding services. These requests carry your IP address and the map area you are viewing (as any map does), but set no cookies and are not used for tracking or advertising. 3. This Website (initmatch.com)
3.1 Browser localStorage — Theme Preference
Our marketing website at initmatch.com uses browser localStorage — a technology that stores small pieces of data in your browser, is never transmitted to our servers, and has no expiry date beyond when you manually clear your browser data.
We use localStorage for two purposes:

This data is stored locally on your device only. It is never shared with us, never used for tracking, and never combined with any other data about you.
3.2 Google Analytics — Only With Your Consent
We use Google Analytics 4 (part of Google Firebase) to understand aggregate website usage — which pages are visited, rough traffic volume, referral sources, and broad device/region breakdowns. It helps us decide what to improve on the site.
When you first visit, Google Analytics runs in a consent-denied state: it sets no cookies and sends only cookieless, non-identifying pings. A banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies:
- If you accept, Google Analytics sets the cookies below to distinguish sessions and returning visitors. Your IP address is anonymised before storage.
- If you decline (or ignore the banner), no analytics cookies are ever set.
You can change your mind at any time by clearing site data (see section 5), which brings the banner back on your next visit. You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all sites with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We do not use Google Analytics for advertising, remarketing, or Google Signals. We do not sell or share this data. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google processes it.
4. Other Third-Party Content
Aside from Google Analytics (section 3.2), this website loads no advertising networks, social media widgets, or other third-party trackers.
We do load fonts from Google Fonts via a stylesheet link. Google Fonts does not set cookies and does not track individual users. See Google Fonts Privacy FAQ for details.
5. How to Clear This Data
To clear the localStorage values and any Google Analytics cookies set by our website, use your browser settings:
- Chrome / Edge: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data → Cached images and files / Site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
Clearing this data will reset your theme to the default (Light) on your next visit.
6. Changes to This Policy
If we change how this website uses cookies or analytics, we will update this policy and its "Last Updated" date. If we ever add a new category of tracking, we will ask for your consent before it runs. We remain committed to never introducing advertising trackers or selling analytics data.
